“Gavatha” in Greek means an extra-large bowl in which the chef mixes all of the ingredients, the flavors, the smells, and the spices, both to cook and to serve food. But this one is not an ordinary bowl; it is a piece of art hand-built and sculptured, reminiscing of the ancestral Mediterranean craftsmanship. The final design is influenced by characteristic terrains observed at the old Skyrian quarry called Pouria.
Handmade of stoneware clay, high fired at 1240 °C, this “gavatha” has an off-white, matte interior and exterior.
Both shape and colour are exclusive as each bowl is separately manufactured like a piece of art meant to celebrate everyday life.
All ceramics are watertight and food-safe.
